The Hellenic Air Force (HAF) showcased its elite status during the first Flying Course of the Tactical Leadership Programme (TLP) 2026, hosted at Los Llanos Air Base in Albacete, Spain.
- 330 Squadron “Keraunos” secured 1st place in the flying phase of the exercise.
- Both 330 Sqn and 347 Sqn “Perseas” were awarded 1st place for their technical and maintenance support.
- An HAF pilot from 330 Sqn was voted “Best Warrior” of NATO.
The Hellenic Air Force General Staff (HAFGS) highlighted that skill often outweighs technology:
“Despite the F-16 Block 30 being an older generation platform, it has once again proven its high level of operational capability and combat readiness. The combination of elite training, experience, and the professionalism of our pilots and technicians allowed 330 and 347 Squadrons to excel in a demanding environment of international cooperation and high-stakes tactics.”
“This success proves that pilot experience and technical expertise, paired with reliable assets, can outperform even the most modern and advanced platforms. This distinction confirms the Hellenic Air Force’s commitment to maintaining peak operational readiness and interoperability within NATO.”
