The Commander of the Bulgarian Land Forces, Major General Deyan Deshkov, visited Greece.

Major General Deshkov’s visit took place following an official invitation from the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis.

This visit falls within the framework of strengthening military ties between the two countries and deepening defense cooperation. It is worth noting that Bulgaria participates in the HELBROC Battlegroup.

During the visit, official meetings were held in an excellent atmosphere, where topics related to Greece-Bulgaria military cooperation were discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on enhancing joint training activities and knowledge exchange, aiming to improve interoperability between the Armed Forces of both nations.

Major General Deshkov visited the Hellenic Army Academy (Evelpidon Military Academy), where he was briefed on the institution’s educational work and the training methods of future officers of the Hellenic Army.

The Bulgarian Land Forces Commander also visited the Engineer School (SMX) in Loutraki, Corinthia, where he attended a demonstration by the Special Disaster Response Unit (ETAK) of the 747 Special Engineer Battalion (747 ETMX).
