From today December 7 and during December 2024, residents and visitors of the co-capital will have the opportunity to travel with Thessaloniki Metro for free on specific days and hours.
This initiative for ticketless travel from Friday to Sunday was announced by Hellenic Metro S.A. and the THEMA Operating Company, as part of the city’s Christmas festivities.
Thessaloniki Metro free: Detailed dates and hours
Free transportation will be available from 18:00 on Friday until 00:30 on Sunday, allowing passengers to enjoy the festivities without the stress of transportation costs.
Free transportation will be valid for the following dates:
- Friday, December 6 to Sunday, December 8, 2024
- Friday, December 13 to Sunday, December 15, 2024
- Friday, December 20 to Sunday, December 22, 2024
- Friday, December 27 to Sunday, December 29, 2024
This move follows the recent inauguration of the Thessaloniki Metro , which officially opened to the public on November 30, 2024, offering a modern means of transportation to the city.
