Children in danger will be able to alert the Police immediately with the Safe Youth app.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced today, September 30, 2024, the Safe Youth application. With this application, a child and a teenager, who is outside the school environment, if he feels that for any reason his physical integrity is in danger, he will be able to immediately alert the Police.
The new Safe Youth app will be launched soon.

“We are announcing a new application, ‘Safe Youth’, where a child, a teenager, outside of a school environment, will automatically be able to notify the police if they feel that their physical integrity is in danger for any reason. We will soon be ready to introduce and let’s launch this new app.
I want to remind you that the “Stop Bullying” initiative, which concerns the school environment, has already been embraced by school societies and has given some first very important results. The issue of delinquency, especially among children and adolescents, is an extremely complex issue. It primarily concerns the families themselves. The state cannot in any case replace the family as the basic core of raising children. But we have an obligation to protect our children, our teenagers, especially those who are victims of such behaviors.”
