Greece’s unwavering support for Ukraine.
The Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, spoke on the phone today (22/2) with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, during which Greece’s unwavering support for Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion was confirmed.
The Greek Prime Minister emphasized that “nothing can be decided for Ukraine without Ukraine” and confirmed his participation in the leaders’ video conference organized by Kiev to mark the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, thanked Greece for its unwavering support for Ukraine. “We deeply appreciate the solidarity of the Greek people, Greece’s firm stance in condemning aggression, and its commitment to the principle: “Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine, nothing about Europe without Europe.” Europe must be at the negotiating table to achieve a just peace”, Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian President also said that he discussed with the Greek Prime Minister “strengthening cooperation between two countries, joint European projects, security guarantees, and enhancing defense capabilities.”
