Strengthening Ties: Hellenic and French Military Leaders Honor Each Other in Xanthi, Greece.
On November 20, 2024, a significant ceremony took place in Xanthi, Greece, where General Dimitrios Choupis, Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), decorated Brigadier General Philippe Le Carff, Commander of the French 7th Armoured Brigade (7e Brigade blindée), with the “Medal of Honour and Value”.
This event was attended by notable figures including Mrs. Laurence Auer, the Ambassador of France in Greece, and Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff.
In reciprocation, Brigadier General Le Carff decorated with the “Médaille de la Défense Nationale” Brigadier General Elias Tsevdos, the current Commander of the XXV Armoured Brigade (GRC), and Brigadier General Panteleimon Vasileiadis, the former Commander.
The ceremony followed the Distinguished Visitors Day (DVDay) associated with the multinational field training exercise “OLYMPIC COOPERATION-24“
