As every year, this year too, as part of the celebration of the Anniversary of Greek Independence of March 25, 1821, the school student’s parade and the military parade will take place in Athens.
On Monday, March 25, 2024, at around 10:30 in the morning, the President of Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, will lay wreath to honor fallen heroes at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Athens military parade will start at 11 o’clock in the morning. The military parade takes place along Vasilissis Amalias Avenue and Panepistimiou Street.
The school student’s parade will take place on Sunday, March 24 and will start at 11 am.
As part of the celebration of the Greek Independence Day, warships and a submarine of Hellenic Navy will sail to the port of Piraeus. The days and hours that will be open to the public, are:
- Friday, 22 March 2024, from 15:00 to 19:00.
- Saturday, 23 March 2024, from 09:00 to 19:00.
- Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 09:00 to 19:00.
- Monday, 25 March 2024, from 09:00 to 17:00.
