The multinational Air Force exercise “Iniochos 2026” is currently underway.
The Execution Phase will take place from March 9 to March 20, followed by the Redeployment Phase from March 21 to March 23, 2026.
Participation of the Hellenic Armed Forces
In “Iniochos 2026,” the Hellenic Air Force is participating with all its fighter aircraft types, including the Rafale and F-16 Viper, as well as helicopters, transport, and training aircraft.
Units from the Hellenic Army and the Hellenic Navy are also participating, contributing decisively to the creation of complex and realistic scenarios across the entire Greek territory.
Due to the crisis in the Middle East, the number of participating countries is reduced compared to previous years. According to the official Hellenic Air Force General Staff website, the participants include:
- France: M-2000D and E3F
- Slovenia: PC-9
- Albania: AS-532
Additionally, Poland will participate with Special Forces, while Georgia, Serbia, Croatia, and India will send observer teams.
Last year, a total of 12 countries participated, marking the largest deployment of air forces in the history of the exercise.
