In a significant move to bolster the operational capabilities of the Hellenic Armed Forces, the General Directorate for Defence Investments and Armaments (GDDIA) has officially finalized two major agreements.
GDDIA & INTRACOM DEFENSE (IDE) Agreement
The signing of Contract 16B/25 marks a strategic upgrade for the Hellenic Navy’s communication infrastructure.
Scope: Procurement of advanced voice and data communication systems.
GDDIA & VIKING Life-Saving Equipment Agreement
Simultaneously, Contract 5B/26 was signed to enhance the fleet’s personnel transport capabilities.
Scope: Procurement and initial support for 7 high-speed personnel transport vessels.
The agreements was signed on March 5th by the General Director of GDDIA, Major General Ioannis Bouras.
