From March 13 to March 17, 2025, the final phase of NATO’s Crisis Management Exercise “Crisis Management Exercise 2025 – CMX25” took place, with the participation of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS).

The exercise aimed to test and evaluate crisis management procedures at all levels, both at the Alliance and national levels. Through a simulated scenario involving a complex politico-military environment with hybrid threats, participants trained in effective response and cooperation between military and civilian entities.

As part of Greece’s participation, the National Response Cell was formed under the Crisis Management Directorate of HNDGS. It included staff officers from HNDGS, the General Staffs (GS), the Special Warfare Command (SWC), the Directorate of Constructions and Natural Disaster Response (DIKAFKA), as well as representatives from the government and relevant ministries.
