The focus of the Greek Minister of Defense’s visit to Austria is the equipment of the FDI HN Frigates and nuclear safety.
The Greek Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, visited Austria today, Friday, March 14, 2025, with a focus on defense cooperation and nuclear safety.
As part of his visit, Minister Dendias toured the Schiebel unmanned systems production facilities, where he was welcomed by the company’s CEO and owner, Hans Georg Schiebel. He attended a presentation on the UAS Camcopter S-100, which is set to be integrated into the FDI (Belharra) frigates of the Hellenic Navy, enhancing their operational capabilities.
Later, Greek Minister held a meeting with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Mariano Grossi. Their discussions revolved around the safety of nuclear power plants, a critical issue on the global security agenda, especially amid ongoing geopolitical developments.
