Iniochos 2025 is the largest air exercise in the history of the Hellenic Air Force.
Athens, Greece (March 5, 2025) -The “Iniochos 2025″ exercise is expected to be the most ambitious and multinational to date, with the participation of a large number of air forces from allied and friendly nations.
The Hellenic Air Force (HAF) will participate with all types of its fighter, transport, and training aircraft, while the Hellenic Army and Navy will contribute to creating realistic scenarios.
Iniochos 2025 participants
This year’s event marks the largest participation since the exercise was established as INVITEX, with aircraft from countries such as France (M-2000), the United States (F-16, KC-46, KC-135), the United Arab Emirates (M2000/9), India (SU-30), Spain (F/A-18 Hornet), Italy (Tornado), Israel (G-550), Qatar (F-15), Montenegro (B-412), Poland (F-16) and Slovenia (PC-9).
Additionally, Austria and Cyprus will provide support personnel, while Slovakia and Bahrain will send observers.
Iniochos’ missions
The exercise Iniohos 2025 includes missions such as:
- Offensive Counter Air Operations (OCA)
- Defensive Counter Air Operations (DCA)
- Strategic Air Operations
- Air Power Contribution to Counter-Land Operations (APCLO)
- Air Power Contribution to Maritime Operations (APCMO)
- Reconnaissance Missions (RECCE)
- Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR)
- Time Sensitive Target (TST)
- High Value Airborne Asset (HVAA)
Iniochos’ phases and dates
The exercise will evolve into three phases:
- Deployment of Participating Forces (Phase 1): March 24 – March 30, 2025
- Execution (Phase 2): March 31 – April 11, 2025
- Redeployment of Forces (Phase 3): April 11 – April 13, 2025
