Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff (HAFGS), Lieutenant General Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, paid a visit to Qatar, after the invitation of his counterpart, Major General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Dosari.
Lieutenant General Grigoriadis, during the visit (27-28/11), visited the Headquarters of the Qatar Air Force, where he met with the Chief of the Qatar Air Force and was informed about the organization and missions of the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF).
The two Chiefs discussed matters of cooperation in the operational and educational fields, as well as matters of defense cooperation. Also, a meeting was held with the Chief of the Armed Forces of Qatar , Lieutenant General Jassim Mohammed Ahmed Al Mannai , where issues of mutual interest were discussed.
As part of his visit, the Chief of the HAF visited the Dukhan Air Base and the Rafale Aircraft Squadron, where the prospects for upgrading training were examined in the context of the Greek-Qatar military cooperation. He also visited the Air Operation Center Upgrade (AOC-U) and was informed about its capabilities in the area of control and operations management.
At Al Udeid Air Base, he visited the Flight Physiology Training Center for aircrews, and participated in a formation flight of F-15 aircraft alongside Rafale and Typhoon.
The visit ended with a tour of the facilities of Al-Zaeem Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Air College , where Chief of Greek Air Force was briefed on training issues by its Commander, Major General Salem bin Abdullah Al Dosari.
